Job Title: Process Technician - Data Entry Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Process Engineering Technician with a strong focus on clerical data entry within Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our process engineering team by accurately inputting and managing critical data, ensuring the smooth flow of information, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our engineering processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry and Documentation:
    • Input and maintain engineering data into Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.
    • Create and update documentation using process engineering procedures.
    • Ensure the integrity and completeness of data by conducting regular reviews and audits of bill of materials.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with process engineers and other team members to gather necessary information for data entry.
    • Communicate effectively to resolve discrepancies and obtain clarification on data-related matters.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and adhere to data quality standards to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of information.
    • Identify and report any inconsistencies, errors, or issues promptly to maintain data integrity.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with the process engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvement related to data entry and documentation.
    • Suggest and implement enhancements to streamline data management processes.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files for easy retrieval.
    • Assist in archiving and purging outdated or irrelevant information.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in clerical data entry, preferably within a technical or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with basic engineering terminology and concepts is an advantage.
